#OOTD: Bridge Walk

Fashion is an art form.

Every artist has their own color palette, their own technique, and their own preference.

For me, fashion has become a way to express myself.

I don’t believe in fashion discriminating against body types. (I do, however, believe that people discriminate “good looking” fashion by body types, which is extremely unfortunate.)

So on my blog, and on my Instagram, I wear what I like, what makes me look good, and what makes me feel good.

But for me, what fashion really means is a way to prove to myself that I am comfortable with my own body. Because trust me, I do have body issues. And what surprised me most the other day is when my friend expressed surprise at the body issues I voices about myself. Because don’t all women have body issues nowadays?

But through all the thin women campaigns nowadays, we need to remember what is realistic, and what isn’t. Because if we all had the money to hire personal trainers, to pay for detoxes, and to buy as much clothes as we want, we could all look pretty. Unfortunately, not everyone has those resources. So I count my blessings, for being able to be who I am, and have people who accept me for who I am.

“The best fashion advice I’d say would be just to do what makes you feel comfortable and what makes you feel cute, and that’s how you’re gonna look your best ’cause when you feel your best, everybody else can feel it too.” – Ariana Grande
